Our take on the Superior Egyptian Cotton 12-Piece Towel Set

A 12-piece towel set from Superior made of 600 GSM Egyptian cotton, with washcloths and hand towels in the bundle. At $94.49 at JCPenney as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the three stores that carry it.

Questions and answers

Is 600 GSM good for towels?
600 GSM is on the heavy, plush end. It feels soft and absorbs well but dries more slowly than 400–500 GSM towels, which matters in humid bathrooms.
What is included in the 12-piece set?
The set covers washcloths and hand towels. Check the listing for the exact split before buying if you need bath towels.
Is Egyptian cotton worth it over regular cotton?
Egyptian cotton uses long-staple fibers, which generally feel softer and last longer than standard cotton. At this price for 12 pieces, it is a reasonable entry point.
When is the best time to buy this set?
The best new price is $94.49 at JCPenney as of November 5, 2026. Watch for white-sale and bedding events, when towel sets typically drop.
