Questions and answers

Is this set worth $249.99?
It depends on how often you play. The 1.26-inch layered acrylic tiles are a step up from cheap printed sets, but $249.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026 is premium pricing. Casual players may be fine with a smaller, cheaper set.
What size are the tiles compared with other sets?
The tiles are 1.26 inches, which is larger than the 1-inch tiles on many budget sets. That makes them easier to read and pick up, but they need more table space and weigh more in the bag.
Does it include everything needed to play American mahjong?
It is sold as a complete American mahjong set for up to 4 players. Confirm the listing includes racks, dice and a wind indicator before buying, since those are not spelled out in the specs.
Is it good for travel?
The included travel bag helps, but 1.26-inch tiles are heavier and bulkier than small travel sets. It works for trips by car or to a friend's house more than for packing light.
When is the price likely to be lowest?
Board game and gift sets often drop during holiday sales and end-of-year promotions. Compare the $249.99 Target price as of November 4, 2026 against the other new listing before buying.
Where is the Sweet Jojo Designs American Mahjong Tile Set 1.26in Layered Acrylic & Travel Bag cheapest?
At Target, for $249.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Sweet Jojo Designs American Mahjong Tile Set 1.26in Layered Acrylic & Travel Bag?
