Is the TESSAN tower worth it at $25.83?

At $25.83 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get 1050-joule surge protection and a 10 ft flat cord. Comparable tower strips often cost $30 or more, so the price is competitive.

How many outlets does it actually have?

The product name says 12 AC outlets plus 3 USB ports, but the spec sheet lists 8 outlets. Check the outlet count on the store listing before you order.

Can it run a space heater or microwave?

No. It is rated 10 A and 1250 W at 125 V, which is below what most heaters and microwaves draw. Use it for computers, TVs, phones and small electronics.

What does the 1050-joule rating mean?

It is the surge energy the strip can absorb before protection wears out. That is a mid-range rating, fine for a desk or TV setup but not a whole-room protector.

Does the flat plug fit behind furniture?

Yes. The low-profile flat plug and thin 10 ft cord are designed to sit close to the wall and run under rugs or along baseboards.

Back-to-school and Black Friday periods are when power strips usually drop. The current $25.83 at Walmart is already near the low end for this model.
