Questions and answers

Is this bass good for a total beginner?

Yes. It is a full-size 4-string bass with a standard maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, and the bundle includes an amp and cable so you can play right away. Expect to have a shop check the setup, since budget basses often need truss rod and action adjustment.

What comes in the box?

The listing includes the bass, a gig bag, a small amplifier and a cable. No tuner, strap or picks are listed, so plan to buy those separately.

Is $99.99 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, $99.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, and it undercuts most beginner bass bundles, which usually start around $150. For a complete kit at that price, it is a low-risk way to start.

Should I buy this or a name-brand beginner bass?

A name-brand starter bass from Squier, Ibanez or Yamaha typically costs more but has better resale value, consistent setup and available parts. Choose this Topbuy kit if the lowest possible cost matters most; choose a brand model if you plan to keep playing.

Is it full size?

Yes, it is a full-size 4-string bass with a solid body, so it fits adult players. Younger or smaller players may find a short-scale bass more comfortable.

When is it cheapest?

Only one store lists it, so there is little price competition. Watch for Walmart rollbacks and holiday sales, when bundle kits like this often drop.

Where is the Topbuy Electric Bass Guitar Full Size 4 String with Bag, Amp and Cord cheapest?

At Walmart, for $99.99, as of our latest check.
