Our take on the TronX Stryker 2.0 Senior Ice Hockey Skates

The TronX Stryker 2.0 is a senior recreational ice hockey skate built for casual players and beginners. It pairs a poly carbon boot with thick EVA foam padding, a plastic blade holder and stainless steel runners that come ready to skate on a standard hollow. The boot is on the flexible side, which suits new skaters more than strong ones. At $54.99 at Boater's Outlet as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with four stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the TronX Stryker 2.0 good for a beginner?
Yes. It is aimed at casual and recreational skaters, with a flexible boot and thick foam padding that are easier on new ankles than stiff competitive skates.
Do the skates come sharpened?
Yes. The stainless steel runners ship ready to skate on a standard sharpening hollow, though many buyers have them checked by a pro shop before first use.
What size should I order?
Hockey skates usually run about one to one and a half sizes smaller than your shoe size, so start there and check the store's size chart for this D-width senior fit.
Is $54.99 a good price?
It is the lowest of the four new listings as of November 7, 2026, and sits at the bottom of the skate's recent range, so it is a strong price for a beginner skate.
Can I use these for figure skating or roller derby?
No. They are ice hockey skates with stainless steel runners, meant for ice rinks and ponds, not figure skating or roller use.
Where is the TronX Stryker 2.0 Senior Ice Hockey Skates cheapest?
At Boater's Outlet, for $54.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the TronX Stryker 2.0 Senior Ice Hockey Skates?
4 stores we checked sell it, including eBay, HockeyTron.com, Boater's Outlet, TheHockeydepot.com.
