What does a patella strap do?

It presses on the patellar tendon just below the kneecap, which can ease pain from jumper's knee and patellofemoral problems. It does not replace strengthening work or medical advice.

How do I choose the size?

The strap is sold as one adjustable size, with an S option listed. Measure your leg just below the kneecap and check the brand's size guide before ordering.

Can I wear it during a run?

Yes. It is designed to be worn during activity, tightened so it is snug but not cutting off circulation. Loosen or remove it if your leg tingles or goes numb.

Is it better than a full knee brace?

For isolated pain below the kneecap, a strap is lighter and less restrictive. A hinged brace is the better choice for instability or ligament injury.

When is the price lowest?

Only one new price was found: $20.81 at Sportsshoes as of November 7, 2026. Watch that listing for markdowns rather than expecting store-to-store competition.
