Questions and answers

Is the UUDULY PCN450 worth buying over a Bostitch or Metabo HPT?

Only if you can confirm parts and warranty support. At $257.97 it is priced near the big brands, which have long track records and easy service. A known brand at a similar price is the safer buy for daily roof work.

What nails does it take?

It uses 15-degree wire-collated coil roofing nails, the common size for asphalt shingles. Check the nail length range in the manual before buying a coil, since shingle thickness and decking decide the length.

Does it need a compressor?

Yes. It is pneumatic, so it needs an air compressor and hose. A small pancake compressor can run it, but a larger tank keeps up better during long shingle runs.

How do I set nail depth?

Use the depth adjustment on the nose. Turn it to drive heads flush or slightly into the shingle; too deep cuts the shingle, too shallow leaves heads proud.

When is the price lowest?

Roofing nailers often drop during spring and fall roofing season sales and around major holiday promotions. The current best is $257.97 at eBay as of November 4, 2026; compare both stores before buying.
