Our take on the VacMaster VP220 Commercial Chamber Vacuum Sealer

The VacMaster VP220 is a countertop chamber vacuum sealer built for liquids and liquid-rich foods, which edge-style sealers handle poorly. It uses a heavy-duty dry pump, a 12.25-inch double seal, and an adjustable 20-99 second cycle with an automatic start. The stainless steel body measures 15.5 by 19 by 15.75 inches. Its best new price is $939.99 at Vacuum Sealers Unlimited as of November 4, 2026, with four stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the VP220 worth it over a cheaper edge sealer?
If you seal soups, sauces, marinades or fresh fish, yes. A chamber sealer pulls a vacuum around the whole bag, so liquids stay put. For dry foods only, a $100 edge sealer does the job.
What bags does it use?
It takes chamber vacuum pouches up to 12 inches wide. Embossed rolls made for edge sealers will not work in a chamber machine.
How long is a cycle?
The cycle time is adjustable from 20 to 99 seconds, and the machine starts automatically once the lid is closed.
Can it seal liquids?
Yes. Liquids and liquid-rich foods are its main advantage over suction sealers, since the vacuum forms around the bag inside the chamber.
How big is it?
It measures 15.5 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 15.75 inches high. Plan on a dedicated counter spot.
When is it cheapest?
