Is this paint safe for beginners?

Yes. It is water-based, odorless and non-toxic, and cleans up with water, so it is easy to work with.

Can I use it in an airbrush?

It can be airbrushed, but thin it first with Vallejo airbrush thinner or water. Out of the bottle it is too thick for most airbrushes.

What surfaces does it work on?

It is made for white metal and resin models. It also works on plastic miniatures when primed first.

How long does it take to dry?

It dries fast, usually within minutes to the touch. Thin coats dry faster than thick ones.

Is the bottle 17ml or 18ml?

Vallejo labels Model Color as 17ml. Some listings round it to 18ml, but the fill is the same.

Prices vary by store and run low during hobby shop sales and multi-bottle bundle deals. Compare stores before buying.
