Our take on the Wildon Home Wood X Frame Hamper

The Wildon Home Wood X Frame Hamper is a lidded laundry hamper built on a criss-cross wood frame, sized at 30 inches high, 19 wide and 17 deep. It collapses for storage or moving and the lid hides the load. It is a decorative piece first: the open frame and fabric bag suit a bedroom or bathroom corner. • Collapsible frame stores flat
  • X-frame wood look suits most decor

  • Wood frame can wobble if overloaded
  • Not sealed, so odors pass through the fabric

Questions and answers

Is it worth buying over a plastic hamper?
If the hamper sits in a visible room, the wood frame looks better than plastic and it folds flat when not needed. A rigid plastic bin will hold up better to heavy loads and dragging.
How much laundry does it hold?
At 30 inches high and roughly 19 by 17 inches, it takes about one to two loads for a single person. Overfill it and the fabric bag sags against the frame.
Does it really collapse?
Yes. The X frame folds flat, which helps for storage, small apartments and moves. Reopening it takes seconds.
Can it go in a bathroom?
The wood frame and fabric bag tolerate normal bathroom humidity, but the open weave does not block odors. Keep damp towels out or air them first.
What comes in the box?
The frame, the fabric bag and the lid, shipped unassembled. Assembly is simple, though some owners report the frame loosening over time.
When is it cheapest?
Laundry storage tends to drop during back-to-school and January organization sales. Set a price alert and compare against its recent range before buying.
