Is the Zinus 6 Inch mattress worth it?

For a guest room, kids' room or bunk bed, yes: at $89.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it costs less than most all-foam mattresses. For nightly adult use, spend more on the 8- or 12-inch version.

How does the 6-inch compare to the 8- and 12-inch Zinus?

The 6-inch has the least foam over the coils and feels firmest. The 8-inch adds cushioning for side sleepers, and the 12-inch is the plushest and best for heavier adults.

Does it work on a bunk bed or trundle?

Yes. The 6-inch height is a common choice for bunk beds and trundles where a thicker mattress would sit too high or block the rail.

What sizes and weights does it support?

It comes in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and California King. Twin supports up to 250 lbs; the larger sizes support up to 500 lbs.

One mattress, compressed and rolled in a single box. It expands over about 24 to 72 hours after unboxing.

Budget mattresses like this one tend to dip during Prime Day, Black Friday and back-to-school sales. At $89.99 it is already near its low, so waiting is unlikely to save much.

Our take on the Zinus 6 Inch Twin Foam and Spring Mattress

The Zinus 6 Inch Foam and Spring Mattress is a budget hybrid: a layer of foam over interconnected heavy-gauge steel coils, sold compressed in one box. The 6-inch profile is the thinnest in Zinus's line, which also comes in 8- and 12-inch versions. It is aimed at guest rooms, kids' rooms, bunk beds and tight budgets rather than daily adult use. The best new price is $89.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, with 6 stores listing it new; that is near the bottom of what this mattress typically sells for, so it is a good day to buy if the size fits.
