Our take on the Zinus 6 Inch Twin Green Tea Memory Foam

The Zinus 6 Inch Green Tea Memory Foam is a budget mattress with a green tea and charcoal-infused memory foam layer over a high-density base. The 6-inch profile suits bunk beds, trundles, guest rooms and kids' rooms where a thicker mattress won't fit. It ships compressed in a box and expands over a day or two. The best new price is $96.99 at Newegg.com as of November 4, 2026, at the low end of what this mattress has recently sold for.

Questions and answers

Is the Zinus 6 Inch mattress worth it?: Yes if you need a cheap mattress for a bunk, guest room or child. Adults sleeping on it every night should look at the 8- or 10-inch version for more support.
How firm is it?: It feels medium-firm. The 6-inch build has less foam under you than thicker Zinus models, so it feels firmer and less plush.
How long does it take to expand?: It usually reaches full shape within 24 to 72 hours after unboxing. Sleep on it sooner if you must, but give it a couple of days for the corners to rise.
What frame does it need?: Use a platform bed, slatted frame or box spring with solid support. The mattress is flexible and thin, so a weak or wide-gapped base will show through.
Does it work for a heavy adult?: Not for long. The 6-inch profile has limited support foam, so heavier sleepers bottom out and wear it faster. Choose the 10- or 12-inch model instead.
When is it cheapest?: Budget mattresses like this one tend to dip during major sales events. The current best price is $96.99 at Newegg.com as of November 4, 2026.
Where is the Zinus 6 Inch Twin Green Tea Memory Foam cheapest?: At Newegg.com, for $96.99, 18% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Zinus 6 Inch Twin Green Tea Memory Foam?: 4 stores we checked sell it, including eBay, Amazon, Newegg.com, Target.
