Questions and answers
- When does Pimax run sales?
- Pimax discounts mostly around Black Friday, Cyber Monday and occasional anniversary or launch promotions on its own store. Outside those windows, prices on the Crystal and Dream Air lines tend to hold steady. Check the deal history on each product page before buying.
- Where is Pimax cheapest?
- Pimax sells direct, and its own store is usually the cheapest source for new headsets. Resellers like Amazon and specialist sim retailers often charge more, though they can be faster on shipping and returns. Compare the landed price including shipping and any import duty.
- Which Pimax headset is best for flight and racing sims?
- The Crystal Super, with its high-resolution QLED panels and wide field of view, is the top pick for sim cockpit use. The Crystal Light offers similar clarity at a lower price but with a narrower view and fewer extras. The Dream Air SLAM suits users who want room-scale tracking without SteamVR base stations.
- What is Pimax's return policy?
- Pimax direct orders generally carry a short return window, commonly around 14 days from delivery, with the headset in resaleable condition and shipping paid by the buyer. Confirm the current terms on the order page, since they vary by region and product. Returns through a reseller follow that seller's policy instead.
- Do Pimax headsets need a powerful PC?
- Yes. The Crystal Super and Crystal Light are PC-tethered headsets that need a recent discrete GPU, and the Super's high resolution is demanding at full settings. The Dream Air SLAM also relies on a PC for rendering. Budget for a strong graphics card alongside the headset.
