Neoprene dumbbells that are kind to your floor

Questions and answers

Is the Garvee 12LB Neoprene Dumbbell Set sold as a pair?

Yes, a 12LB set is normally a pair of 12-pound dumbbells, one per hand. Check the listing wording before ordering if you only need one.

Will the neoprene coating damage my floors?

The neoprene coating is there to protect floors and reduce noise when you set the weights down. Dropping them from height can still mark floors or crack the coating.

Is 12 pounds enough for strength training?

Twelve pounds per hand works for warm-ups, walking workouts, rehab and high-rep sets. It is too light for most pressing and rowing once you have trained for a while.

Does the neoprene smell when new?

New neoprene weights often have a rubbery smell that fades after a few days of airing out. Wipe them down and store them away from heat.

How does the price compare with other 12 lb dumbbells?

At $46.98 at Lowe's as of November 5, 2026, the set is in line with coated 12-pound pairs. Only one new price was found, so compare with other stores before buying.
