About the Auoshi Portable Mini Projector with WiFi and Bluetooth

The Auoshi is a budget LCD projector that claims native 1080p output, 4K input support, a 10,000:1 contrast ratio and a 40-200 inch image from 4.9 to 16.4 feet. It adds WiFi and Bluetooth, a built-in speaker, 15-degree keystone correction and a 50% zoom, and it can sit on a desk or hang from the ceiling. Its best new price is $104.97 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against. At that price it undercuts most name-brand 1080p LCD projectors, but the 3.8 rating from 467 buyers suggests it is a mixed bag.

Low price: $104.97 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026
Cons
  • 3.8 out of 5 from 467 ratings points to uneven quality
  • LCD panel brightness is modest; needs a dark room
  • Built-in speaker is basic; plan on external audio
  • Only one store sells it new, so price competition is thin
  • Fan noise and focus sharpness draw complaints on budget LCD units

What reviewers say

  • 3.8 / 5467 ratings

Ratings average 3.8 out of 5 across 467 buyers, which is middling for this class. Owners tend to like the price and the picture in a dark room, while complaints cluster around brightness, sound and unit-to-unit consistency.

What people mention
  • BrightnessCriticisedOwners say the image is only usable in a dark or heavily dimmed room.
  • SetupPraisedWiFi, Bluetooth and keystone correction make placement and streaming simple.
  • SoundCriticisedThe built-in speaker is thin, so most owners add a soundbar or Bluetooth speaker.
  • FocusMixedSome units focus sharply across the frame; others are soft at the edges.
  • Fan noiseMixedThe claimed 80% noise reduction helps, but the fan is still audible in quiet scenes.

Questions and answers

Is the Auoshi really native 1080p?
It lists a native 1080p LCD panel and accepts 4K input, which it downscales. Expect 1080p detail, not true 4K.
How big an image can it throw?
It projects 40 to 200 inches from 4.9 to 16.4 feet. The 200-inch end will be dim, so 80-120 inches is the practical sweet spot.
Do I need a dark room?
Yes. LCD projectors at this price put out modest brightness, so ambient light washes the picture out. Curtains or evening use are close to required.
Can I connect a phone or soundbar?
Yes. WiFi and Bluetooth are built in, so you can mirror from a phone and pair a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar for better audio.
Can it be ceiling mounted?
Yes. It supports desktop front and rear projection and ceiling front and rear mounting, with 15-degree keystone correction to square the image.
Is $104.97 a good price?
It is the only new price listed, $104.97 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge against. For a 1080p LCD projector it is low, but check the return window given the mixed ratings.
