Is the Auoshi Mini Foldable Drone good for a beginner?

Yes. One-key takeoff, landing and return home, three speed levels and optical flow positioning make it forgiving for new pilots. Practice indoors or in calm air first.

Do I need to register this drone?

At 0.71 kg it is above 250 g, so in the US it needs FAA registration and in many other countries similar rules apply. Check your local rules before flying outdoors.

The rated range is up to 100 meters for both control and WiFi video. Keep it closer than that in practice, since WiFi FPV can drop out before the control link does.

What comes in the box?

It ships fly-ready with the remote controller, two 3.7V modular batteries and the drone itself. You supply the phone for app control and FPV viewing.

Does it have GPS return home?

No. The one-key return brings the drone back toward its takeoff point without GPS, so it is not a reliable position hold. Fly it within sight.

Our take on the Auoshi Mini Foldable Drone

The Auoshi Mini Foldable Drone is a beginner quadcopter with a 1080p dual-lens camera, brushless motors and two 3.7V batteries in the box. It flies on WiFi FPV with optical flow positioning, one-key takeoff and landing, and a one-key return home, all within a roughly 100-meter range. It folds small and weighs 0.71 kg, so it is easy to carry but not a sub-250g drone. It is a low-cost first drone rather than a camera drone for serious aerial video.
