Our take on the Adesso Rigby Floor Lamp

The Adesso Rigby is a floor lamp with an adjustable arm and a three-way switch, finished in white. The adjustable head lets you aim light at a chair, desk or wall, and the three-way switch gives low, medium and high brightness from one bulb. It is a simple, affordable task lamp rather than a statement piece. No current price was provided, so check the latest best price against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Adesso Rigby worth it?
It is a budget floor lamp with an adjustable head and a three-way switch. If you want aimable light without paying for a designer lamp, it fits. If you need a heavy, stable lamp or smart controls, look elsewhere.
What bulb does the three-way switch need?
A three-way bulb with the right base for the socket. A standard bulb will work but only at one brightness, so the switch positions will not change the light level.
How tall is the Rigby floor lamp?
Adesso's Rigby is a standard-height floor lamp, roughly in the 55 to 60 inch range depending on how the arm is set. Check the listed height for the exact model before you buy.
Can I use an LED bulb with it?
Yes, as long as the bulb fits the socket and wattage limit. For three levels of light you need a three-way LED bulb; a plain LED will only give one brightness.
When is the price lowest?
Floor lamps like this usually drop during back-to-school and holiday sales and in late-winter clearance. Compare the current price with its recent range before buying.
