Is this cabinet worth it over a finished cabinet?

If you can finish wood yourself, an unfinished maple cabinet usually costs less than a factory-finished one and lets you match your kitchen exactly. If you want to install it the same day, a prefinished cabinet saves time.

What are the exact dimensions?

It is 24 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 34.5 inches high, with one drawer and two doors. That height is standard for a base cabinet under a 1.5 inch countertop.

What finish should I use on unfinished maple?

Maple takes both stain and paint well, but blotching is common with stain, so use a wood conditioner first. Seal with polyurethane, especially around the sink.

Does it come with a countertop or hardware?

No. The listing covers the cabinet box, doors and drawer only. Countertop, knobs, pulls and toe kick are separate purchases.

When is the best time to buy?

Cabinet prices tend to dip during kitchen and remodeling sales in spring and around major holiday promotions. Check the price history before buying.
