Our take on the Andover Mills Computer Desk with Hutch and Drawers

A 47-inch-wide writing desk in manufactured wood with an attached hutch and built-in drawers, sized for a home office corner or a bedroom workspace. The hutch adds open shelving above the desktop while the drawers keep small items out of sight. At 37 inches tall with a 100 lb weight capacity, it suits a laptop, monitor and paperwork rather than heavy equipment. It is a budget-tier piece, so expect particle board construction and a full assembly session.

Questions and answers

Is this desk sturdy enough for a monitor and laptop?
Yes. The 100 lb weight capacity covers a monitor, laptop, lamp and paperwork comfortably. Keep heavy printers or multiple monitor arms off it.
How long does assembly take?
Expect a couple of hours. The hutch and drawers add steps beyond a plain desk, and two people make aligning panels easier.
Does the hutch fit under a window or sloped ceiling?
The desk is 37 inches tall overall, so check clearance above the hutch before placing it under a window or in an attic room.
Is there room for a keyboard and mouse on the desktop?
Yes. The desktop is 47.24 inches wide and 22.05 inches deep, which leaves space in front of the hutch for a keyboard and mouse.
What is it made of?
Manufactured wood for the top and base, often particle board or MDF with a veneer finish. Wipe with a damp cloth and avoid standing water on seams.
When is it cheapest?
Desks like this usually drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.
What do buyers say about the Andover Mills Computer Desk with Hutch and Drawers?
