Our take on the Ariens Deluxe 24 Two-Stage Snow Blower 254cc

The Ariens Deluxe 24 is a gas two-stage snow blower with a 24-inch clearing width and 21-inch intake height, driven by a 254cc Ariens AX engine. It has electric start, power steering, and a cast-iron gear case, which puts it a step above entry-level single-stage machines. The best new price is $1,275.00 at RDO Equipment Co. as of November 3, 2026, with four stores listing it new. That is near the low end of what this model has sold for recently, so the current price is a fair one.

  • No heated grips on this trim

Questions and answers

Is the Ariens Deluxe 24 worth it over a single-stage blower?
Yes if you get regular snow over 8 inches or deal with plow banks. A single-stage is lighter and cheaper but struggles with deep, wet snow. The Deluxe 24's two-stage auger and 254cc engine handle both.
How does it compare with the Ariens Platinum 24?
The Platinum adds a larger engine, heated handgrips and a faster gear case. The Deluxe 24 costs less and covers most residential driveways. Choose the Platinum only if you want the extra power and comfort features.
Does it have electric start?
Yes. It plugs into a standard outlet with the included cord for push-button starting, and it also has a manual recoil starter as backup.
What is included in the box?
The blower, a starter cord, and the owner's manual. Fuel and oil are not included, so you will need to add them before first use.
When is the best time to buy it?
Prices tend to be lowest in late summer and early fall before snow season demand peaks. The $1,275.00 at RDO Equipment Co. as of November 3, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range.
Where is the Ariens Deluxe 24 Two-Stage Snow Blower 254cc cheapest?
At RDO Equipment Co., for $1,275.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Ariens Deluxe 24 Two-Stage Snow Blower 254cc?
