Is the ASUS TUF A16 worth $2,219.00?

That depends on the graphics card inside, which the listing does not name. At $2,219.00 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, it is priced like a premium gaming laptop, so confirm the GPU before buying.

How does it compare with the previous TUF A16?

This model steps up to a Ryzen 9 8940HX and a 165Hz 1920x1200 screen. Earlier A16 versions used lower-tier Ryzen chips, so expect a clear CPU jump rather than a redesign.

Can I upgrade the RAM and storage?

It ships with 16 GB DDR5 and a 1 TB PCIe SSD. TUF laptops typically have accessible memory and M.2 slots, but confirm the exact configuration before relying on upgrades.

Is the 165Hz screen good for gaming?

Yes. 1920x1200 at 165Hz is smooth for fast-paced games and easier to drive than a higher-resolution panel, which suits the laptop's GPU better.

What comes in the box?

Expect the laptop, its power adapter and paperwork. No mouse or bag is included in the standard package.

With only one new listing at $2,219.00 as of November 7, 2026, there is no competing price to wait for. Watch for seasonal sales at Newegg rather than a second store undercutting it.
