Is the Mavrik Combo Set worth it at $539.99?

At $539.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a name-brand combo set with hybrids. Comparable new combo sets often run higher, so it is a fair buy if regular flex steel suits you.

How does it compare with the Mavrik standard irons?

The combo set swaps the long irons for hybrids, which launch higher and are easier to hit for slower swing speeds. The short irons use the same Flash Face SS20 technology.

What clubs are included?

The set covers 6-PW, mixing hybrids and irons. There is no gap wedge or sand wedge, so you will need to fill those separately.

Is regular flex steel right for me?

Regular flex True Temper XP 95 suits moderate swing speeds, roughly 80-95 mph with a 6-iron. Faster swingers should look at stiff flex instead.

Prices on older iron sets tend to drop when a successor launches and around end-of-season sales. Track the price history before buying.

Pros

Flash Face SS20 face and Jailbreak bars push ball speed
Urethane microspheres soften vibration on thin strikes
Tungsten weights in each iron help launch and forgiveness
Combo makeup blends hybrids and irons for gapping
True Temper XP 95 steel shafts suit regular-swing-speed players

Cons

Strong lofts mean shorter clubs fly farther and gapping needs checking
Steel shafts and regular flex only, so stiff and senior swingers are left out
Only 6-PW, no long irons or gap wedge in the box
Older model, so custom shaft and lie options are limited
