Is the Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM worth it?

For RF shooters who want one light ultra-wide zoom, yes. It reaches 14mm, stays sharp, and weighs 540 g. If you shoot events in low light, an f/2.8 wide zoom is the better fit.

How does it compare with the RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM?

The 15-35mm f/2.8 is one millimeter narrower and much faster in low light, but it is heavier and costs more. The 14-35mm f/4 is the travel and landscape pick.

Does it work on APS-C RF bodies?

Yes. On an RF-S body it behaves like a roughly 22-56mm zoom, so you lose the ultra-wide look. It is designed for full-frame RF cameras.

How good is the stabilization?

The lens has optical IS that pairs with in-body stabilization on newer RF bodies. It helps handheld shots at slow shutter speeds, especially at 14mm.

The lens, front and rear caps, the LP1219 lens case and a petal lens hood. No tripod collar is included.

It was $1,079 at Willoughby's Photo Emporium as of November 3, 2026. Canon L lenses tend to dip during holiday and rebate periods, so watch the price history around those windows.
