Is the $20.00 price for a full slab?

The listing shows $20.00 at Granite Factory Direct as of November 5, 2026, but a full 110-inch quartz slab at that price is unlikely. Ask the store what the price covers, such as a sample or per square foot, before ordering.

What is a sandwich laminated edge?

It is a thinner quartz slab with strips bonded underneath the front edge to build up the visible thickness. Here the body is 3/4 inch and the edge reads about 1-1/2 inches, similar to a solid 40mm slab.

How thick is the slab really?

The slab body is 3/4 inch (18mm). The 1-1/2 inch figure applies to the built-up edge, and the listing gives both 36mm and 40mm for it, so confirm the exact edge dimension with the fabricator.

Can I use it for a kitchen island?

Yes. The 110-inch length and 26-inch width suit island tops, and the laminated edge gives the thick-edge look islands often use. Check the overhang and support with your fabricator.

Does the pattern match from slab to slab?

No. The listing says color and pattern may vary slightly, which is normal for quartz made to look like marble. Buy all slabs for one project together and lay them out before cutting.

Is quartz safe for a kitchen backsplash?

Yes. Polished quartz resists moisture and staining, so it works behind a sink or range. Keep it away from direct high heat, such as a hot pan set against it.
