Is the Costway 26 lbs twin tub worth it?

For renters, RV owners, or anyone without laundry hookups, yes: it costs far less than a full-size washer and handles a real load size. If you have standard hookups and want to skip manual fill and transfer, a conventional machine is easier to live with.

How does a twin tub washer work?

You fill the wash tub, add detergent, and set the wash timer; then you move the clothes to the spin tub to drain and dry. The two tubs run on separate motors and timers, so you can wash one load while spinning another.

Does it need to be hooked up to plumbing?

No permanent hookup is required. You fill it with a hose or bucket and the drain pump empties it, so it works with a sink, bathtub, or floor drain nearby.

How big is it and how much space does it need?

It measures 27.5 inches wide, 16 inches deep, and 32 inches high, so it fits in a closet or bathroom corner. Leave room to open the clear lid and reach both tubs.

Can it wash large items like blankets?

The 26 lb wash capacity can take a small blanket or a few towels, but the spin tub holds less, so you may need to split bulky items. Heavy queen-size comforters are too much for it.

When is the best time to buy it?

The only recent price on record is $199.99 at Distritech as of October 31, 2026, so there is no lower point to wait for yet. Watch for seasonal sales on portable appliances if you are not in a hurry.
