Our take on the Deerc Large 1:8 Scale Monster Truck

The Deerc DE60 is a 1:8 scale electric monster truck, roughly 19 by 12 by 10 inches, running on a LiPo battery. Its size puts it well above the 1:10 and 1:16 trucks most beginners start with, so it handles grass and rough ground better. The best new price is $79.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, the only new listing tracked, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Best forBuyers who want a big truck without hobby-grade pricesRunning on grass, dirt and gravelTeens and adults rather than small childrenOne-truck owners who want something simple to charge and drive
Pros
  • 1:8 scale gives real ground clearance and stability
  • LiPo battery instead of the NiMH packs common at this price
  • Large tires soak up bumps on rough ground
  • Simple all-in-one package for beginners
Cons
  • Only one new listing at $79.99, so no price competition
  • Big and heavy to carry and store at about 19 inches long
  • Replacement parts and battery support are limited compared with hobby brands
  • Not a hobby-grade chassis, so hard crashes cost more to fix

Questions and answers

Is the Deerc DE60 worth $79.99?
At $79.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is cheap for a 1:8 truck with a LiPo pack. Comparable hobby-brand 1:8 trucks cost several times more. Expect toy-grade electronics rather than race-grade parts.
How big is it compared with a 1:10 truck?
It measures about 19.3 by 12.2 by 10.4 inches, noticeably larger than a 1:10 model. That means more clearance over grass and roots, but it needs more space to run and store.
What battery does it use and how long does it run?
It runs on a LiPo battery, which charges faster and holds voltage better than NiMH. Run time depends on throttle use; expect well under an hour per charge on grass.
Can I get replacement parts?
Deerc sells some spares, but the parts network is thinner than for Traxxas or Arrma. Check that the specific part you are likely to break is available before buying.
Is it good for a child?
It is large and fast enough to hurt, so it suits teens and adults better. For younger kids, a 1:16 or 1:18 truck is safer and easier to handle.
When is the price lowest?
Only one new listing is tracked, at $79.99 as of November 4, 2026, so there is no history to time a purchase against. Watch for holiday discounts at Walmart.
Where is the Deerc Large 1:8 Scale Monster Truck cheapest?
At Walmart, for $79.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Deerc Large 1:8 Scale Monster Truck?
Rated 4.9 out of 5 from 14 ratings.
