Is the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 worth it at $999.79?

At $999.79 at Best Buy as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a 16-inch Copilot+ convertible with 16 GB RAM. It makes sense if you want a big touchscreen and long battery life more than portability.

How does it compare with a 14-inch 2-in-1?

The 16-inch screen gives more room for split windows and drawing, but the 4.5 lb weight makes it harder to hold in tablet mode. A 14-inch model is easier to carry but has less canvas.

How long does the battery really last?

Dell rates it at up to 21 hours. Expect less in real use with the touchscreen, brightness up and AI features running; light office work should still get through a full day.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

RAM is soldered on most thin convertibles in this class, so buy the 16 GB version you need up front. The SSD is generally replaceable, but check the service manual before opening it.

What comes in the box?

The laptop and its power adapter. A stylus is not listed as included, so budget for one if you plan to write or draw on the touchscreen.

Convertible laptops like this tend to drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Track the price history and buy when it falls below the current $999.79.
