Our take on the Dreo Smart Humidifier with Customizable RGB Light

The Dreo Smart Humidifier is a 3 L (0.8 gal) ultrasonic cool-mist unit built for bedrooms, with top-fill refilling, app control and a customizable RGB nightlight. It runs quietly at a rated 28 dB, so it suits a nightstand more than a large open room. At $54.99 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of what this model has sold for, making it a reasonable buy if the light and app matter to you.

Questions and answers

Is the Dreo Smart Humidifier worth it at $54.99?
At $54.99 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, it is a fair price for a quiet app-controlled bedroom humidifier with a light. Cheaper basic humidifiers exist, but they lack the app and RGB features.
How long does the 3 L tank last?
Expect roughly 20 to 30 hours on low output and closer to 10 to 15 hours on high. That covers one or two nights in a bedroom before a refill.
Does it work with Alexa or Google Home?
Yes, the Dreo app supports voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant. You need the app and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection to set it up.
Will it leave white dust?
Ultrasonic cool-mist humidifiers can leave white dust if you use hard tap water. Use distilled or filtered water, or a demineralization cartridge, to reduce it.
What comes in the box?
The humidifier, a power adapter and a quick-start guide. Filters and demineralization cartridges are not included.
When is it cheapest?
Dreo humidifiers tend to drop during fall and winter sales and around Prime Day and Black Friday. The current $54.99 is already near the low end of its recent range.
