Our take on the Ebern Designs Chelsea 77'' W Mid Century Upholstery Tufted Sofa

The Ebern Designs Chelsea is a 77-inch mid-century sofa with a tufted velvet back, a solid wood frame and tapered wooden legs. It seats three and ships with two toss pillows. The 100% velvet upholstery gives it a smooth, dressy look that suits living rooms and small apartments. At 77 inches it fits rooms where a full 84-inch sofa would crowd the walkway.

Questions and answers

Is the Ebern Designs Chelsea sofa good for everyday use?
Yes for light to moderate use by two or three people. The wood frame and velvet are fine for a living room, but the tufted back and velvet need regular vacuuming and brushing to stay clean.
How big is the Chelsea sofa and will it fit my room?
It is 77 inches long, shorter than the common 84-inch three-seater. Measure your wall and doorway first; a 77-inch sofa leaves more walking room in small living rooms.
Does the velvet hold up with pets?
Velvet is smooth but grabs hair and shows paw marks. Owners with cats and dogs report needing a lint brush or vacuum attachment often, and light colors show dirt fastest.
What is included with the sofa?
The sofa, two toss pillows and the wooden legs. Assembly is required; legs attach to the frame with the included hardware.
When is the best time to buy it?
Furniture discounts cluster around holiday sales and end-of-season clearances. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying, since velvet sofas often swing widely.
