Is the EDX bed frame worth it?

For a queen metal platform bed with storage and a headboard, it is a reasonable value. The 1,200 lb rating and included slats mean you skip a box spring.

Do I need a box spring?

No. The frame includes metal slats and supports a mattress directly. A box spring would only add height.

What mattress size fits?

It is a queen frame, so use a standard queen mattress, 60 in wide by 80 in long. The 60 in frame width matches that.

How much weight can it hold?

The listed maximum is 1,200 lb, spread across the frame. That is well above typical use for two adults.

You get the frame, headboard, slats and storage drawers. The mattress is not included.

Metal bed frames usually dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.

Our take on the EDX Bed Frame with Ample Storage Space

The EDX Captain's bed frame is a queen-size metal platform bed with a headboard and built-in under-bed storage drawers. It carries a 1,200 lb weight capacity, uses metal slats, and needs no box spring. At 60 in wide it is a standard queen footprint, and the drawers add storage without extra floor space.
