It weighs 14.5 lb with the battery, has a chain brake, anti-kickback bar, anti-vibration handle and tool-free chain tensioning. Pros

Runs on any EGO 56V ARC Lithium battery, including packs you already own
Up to 300 cuts on 4x4 lumber per charge with the included 5.0Ah pack
Brushless motor at 11,000 RPM with 45cc gas-equivalent power claim
Tool-free chain tensioning with a twist dial, no wrench needed
Chain brake, anti-kickback bar and anti-vibration handle for safer, steadier cutting

Cons

14.5 lb with battery is heavy for overhead or one-handed work
18-inch bar limits it to medium trees and logs
Battery and charger add cost if you are not already in the EGO system
No gas-style unlimited runtime; big jobs need spare packs
Bar oil and chain upkeep still apply, same as any chainsaw

Questions and answers

Is the EGO CS1804 powerful enough to replace a gas chainsaw?: EGO rates it as equivalent to a 45cc gas saw, which covers limbing, bucking and felling small to medium trees. It will not match a large pro gas saw for all-day heavy cutting.
How many cuts can I get on one charge?: EGO claims up to 300 cuts through 4x4 lumber with the included 5.0Ah battery. Expect fewer in dense hardwood or continuous cutting.
What comes in the box?: The saw, an 18-inch bar and chain, a chain sheath, a 56V 5.0Ah battery (280 Wh), a charger and the manual.
Does it work with other EGO 56V batteries?: Yes. It runs on any EGO Power+ 56V ARC Lithium battery, so larger packs extend runtime and smaller ones cut weight.
Is $329.99 a good price?: That is the lowest of the five new listings as of November 4, 2026, so it is a solid buy if you want the kit with battery and charger. Watch for bundle deals if you already own EGO batteries.
How heavy is it?: About 14.5 lb with the battery installed. That is close to a small gas saw, so plan on two-handed use.
Where is the EGO Power+ 56V Cordless Chainsaw (CS1804) cheapest?: At Koenig Equipment, for $329.99, 23% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the EGO Power+ 56V Cordless Chainsaw (CS1804)?: 5 stores we checked sell it, including Koenig Equipment, Graham K, Bee Green Recycling & Supply, eBay, Walmart.
