Questions and answers

Is the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue worth it?: If you want a vintage-spec Les Paul and a Gibson is out of budget, it is a sensible buy. At $650 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it undercuts most Gibson Les Pauls by a wide margin.
How does it compare with a standard Epiphone Les Paul Standard?: The 1959 Reissue is the premium tier, with vintage-style specs and hardware closer to the original. The standard Les Paul Standard costs less but has less period-correct detail.
Is it chambered or semi-hollow?: Listings describe it as semi-hollow, so expect a lighter, airier body than a solid Les Paul. Try one first if you want the full solid-body weight and sustain.
What comes in the box?: You get the guitar itself. A gig bag or case is not guaranteed, so confirm with the seller before ordering.
When is it cheapest?: The best new price seen is $650 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Compare across the five stores listing it new, and watch for holiday sales.
