Is $10.08 a good price for this filter?

Yes. That is the best new price across 9 stores as of November 5, 2026, at eBay. Genuine single filters usually sell for more, so confirm the seller ships a sealed genuine cartridge.

How often should I replace it?

Every 6 months or 125 gallons, whichever comes first. Replace sooner if flow slows or taste changes.

Which refrigerators does it fit?

Frigidaire models that specify the PureSource Ultra II (EPTWFU01) cartridge. Check your fridge's filter label or manual before buying; it is not a universal filter.

Push the cartridge in and twist to lock, then run about 1.5 gallons (roughly 3 minutes) through the dispenser to prime it.

How do I spot a counterfeit?

Look for the berry-colored housing and the Genuine Filters seal on the packaging. Fakes often lack both and may not seat properly.

What contaminants does it reduce?

It is NSF 42, 53 and 401 certified and reduces up to 99% of listed contaminants, including chlorine taste and odor, lead and particulates.
