Is the FurHaven Bolster Bed worth it?

At $36.88 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is a low-cost way to add a washable, bolstered pad to a crate. Skip it if your dog chews bedding, since it is not rated for unsupervised chewers.

What size crate does the XL fit?

The XL is listed at 30 by 20 inches and 3 inches tall, sized for a large crate rather than a giant-breed floor bed. Measure your crate's interior before ordering.

Can it go in the washing machine?

Yes, the bed is machine washable. Wash on a gentle cycle and air dry to keep the faux fur and foam core in shape.

Is it orthopedic enough for an older dog?

It has a foam core and is marketed as orthopedic, but the cushion is only 3 inches thick. A senior dog with joint pain may need a thicker memory-foam bed.

Does it work outside a crate?

Yes. The non-skid bottom and water-resistant base let it sit on floors, in a vehicle, or at work as a standalone sleeping spot.

When is the price lowest?

Only Walmart lists it new at $36.88 as of November 5, 2026, so there is little cross-store competition. Watch for seasonal pet-bed sales rather than expecting frequent discounts.
