Our take on the Ginny's 2-in-1 Expandable Car Cup Holder

The Ginny's 2-in-1 Expandable Car Cup Holder is a plastic console insert that drops into a standard car cup holder and expands up to 2 inches in each direction to hold two cups or a cup plus small items. Its 3.5-inch base fits most factory cup holders, and the black round design keeps it low-profile. It is a low-cost fix for cars with shallow or crowded console storage. No current price was available to compare against its recent range.

Questions and answers

Will it fit my car's cup holder?
It is designed for standard round cup holders with a roughly 3.5-inch opening. Very large, square or deep recessed holders may let it shift. Measure your holder's diameter before buying.
How much wider does it get?
The base expands up to 2 inches in each direction, which is enough for two standard cups or one wide bottle plus a phone or snack. It does not lock at a set width, so adjust it to the space you have.
Can I leave it in when I park?
Yes. It sits in the cup holder without adhesive, so it lifts out for cleaning or to move between cars. It is not secured, so it can tip if you brake hard with tall drinks.
Does it hold large fast-food cups?
Standard 32-ounce cups fit in the two openings, but very wide-bottomed cups may not seat fully once the holder is expanded. Check the cup base against the 3.5-inch opening.
Is it worth it over a fixed two-cup insert?
If your console has room, an expandable holder adds flexibility a fixed insert lacks. If your cup holder area is tight, a slim fixed insert may fit better.
