Our take on the Greenworks 24V 13 in. Brushless Cordless String Trimmer Kit with 4.0 Ah Battery & Charger

The Greenworks 24V Brushless String Trimmer is a cordless straight-shaft trimmer with a 13-inch cutting width and a brushless motor. It weighs 5.5 lb and ships as a kit with a 4.0 Ah battery and charger, so it runs on Greenworks' 24V battery line. At $109.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what this kit has sold for recently.

Questions and answers

Is the Greenworks 24V brushless trimmer worth it at $109.99?
At $109.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for a brushless trimmer that includes a 4.0 Ah battery and charger. It makes the most sense if you already own Greenworks 24V tools or have a small yard.
How does it compare with a 40V trimmer?
A 40V trimmer cuts thicker grass and runs longer per charge but costs more and is heavier. The 24V model is better for light trimming and edging.
How long does the 4.0 Ah battery last?
Expect roughly 30 to 45 minutes of light trimming per charge, less in thick or wet grass. Runtime drops as the battery ages.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the trimmer, a 4.0 Ah 24V battery, and a charger. Line spools are typically included but check the listing for the exact contents.
Does it use the same batteries as other Greenworks 24V tools?
Yes. The 24V battery works across the Greenworks 24V lineup, including their blowers and mowers, so you can share packs.
When is it cheapest?
Greenworks trimmers usually drop during spring lawn-care sales and around Black Friday. The current $109.99 is already near the low end of its recent range.
Where is the Greenworks 24V 13 in. Brushless Cordless String Trimmer Kit with 4.0 Ah Battery & Charger cheapest?
