Questions and answers

Is the Henckels Graphite 18-piece set worth it?
At $191.99 at Kohl's as of November 6, 2026, it is a lot of forged knives, a block and a steel for the money. If you want one complete set and don't mind stainless handles, it is a reasonable buy.
How does it compare with Henckels' higher lines?
Graphite sits below Henckels' German-made lines. Blades are forged stainless, but the fit and finish and handle material are a step down from the premium ranges.
Are the knives dishwasher safe?
Hand washing is the safer choice for forged stainless knives with satin finishes. Dishwasher heat and detergent can dull edges and wear the handles over time.
What is included in the 18 pieces?
The set includes an 8-inch chef's knife plus bread, carving, utility and paring knives, a 9-inch sharpening steel and the 15.5-inch grey block. Check the listing for the exact piece-by-piece breakdown.
When is the best time to buy it?
The current $191.99 at Kohl's as of November 6, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range across 11 stores. Watch for holiday kitchen sales for further drops.
