Is the Clifton 11 GTX worth it over the regular Clifton 11?

If you run or walk in rain and wet roads often, the GORE-TEX membrane and closed mesh are the reason to pay more. In dry climates the standard Clifton 11 breathes better and weighs less.

How does the Clifton 11 GTX fit?

Buyers report it runs narrower than standard Clifton sizing, so try your usual size first and size up or go wide if you have broad feet. The speed laces adjust quickly but don't change the upper's width.

Is it actually waterproof?

The GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane and closed mesh upper seal out rain and splashes, and the coating is PFC- and PFAS-free. It is water protection for wet weather, not a fully submersible boot.

How much does the Clifton 11 GTX weigh?

About 10.8 oz, which is heavier than the standard Clifton 11 because of the membrane and closed upper. Owners still describe it as light for a waterproof shoe.

What are the stack height and drop?

42 mm stack height with an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop, the same max-cushion geometry as the rest of the Clifton line.

When is the Clifton 11 GTX cheapest?

The best new price found is $164.83 at Amazon as of November 7, 2026, across eight stores. Hoka models usually drop further when a new Clifton generation launches or during seasonal sales.
