Our take on the HOM Dog Bark Collar Rechargeable Smart Training Collar

The HOM Dog Bark Collar is a rechargeable training collar that uses vibration rather than shock to discourage barking. It fits necks from 11.8 to 27.5 inches and has a stated remote range of 4,000 feet, which is long for a collar in this class. The built-in battery comes installed and recharges over USB. It carries a 1 out of 5 rating from 6 reviews, so buyer feedback is thin and negative.

Questions and answers

Is a vibration collar humane for my dog?
Vibration is milder than shock and is widely used as a cue, but it still startles some dogs. Introduce it on the lowest setting and pair it with reward-based training rather than relying on it alone.
Will it work on a large dog?
The collar fits necks from 11.8 to 27.5 inches, which covers most large breeds. Check your dog's neck measurement before ordering, and make sure the unit sits snug but not tight.
Does it have a remote or is it bark-activated?
The listing describes a smart training collar with a 4,000-foot range, which implies a remote handset. Confirm the box contents with the seller before buying, since the listing does not spell them out.
How long does the battery last?
The battery is built in and rechargeable, but no runtime figure is published. Expect to recharge every few days with regular use, and charge it fully before the first session.
Is it worth buying given the low rating?
With 6 ratings at 1 out of 5, the risk is high. Compare vibration collars from established training brands, which cost more but have a longer review record.
When is the price lowest?
Training collars like this tend to dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Ask our agent to watch the price history and alert you when it drops.
What do buyers say about the HOM Dog Bark Collar Rechargeable Smart Training Collar?
Rated 1 out of 5 from 6 ratings.
