Is 16 GB of storage enough?

Barely. Chrome OS and updates take a large share, so plan to keep files in Google Drive and use cloud apps. Local downloads and Android apps fill it quickly.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

No. The 4 GB of RAM is soldered and the 16 GB eMMC is not user-replaceable. Buy for the specs you need from day one.

Does it have a touchscreen?

No. This model has a standard non-touch 11.6-inch HD display.

Will it run Windows programs like Word or Excel?

Not natively. It runs Chrome OS, so you use web versions of Office or Android apps from Google Play. Offline use is limited.

Is it good for a college student?

For web-based coursework, notes and email, yes. For heavy software, large local files or a high-resolution screen, look at a larger Chromebook or a Windows laptop.

What comes in the box?

The Chromebook and its power adapter. No written warranty is included, so check the seller's return terms.

Our take on the HP Chromebook 11 G6 EE 11.6" Touchscreen Chromebook

The HP Chromebook 11 G6 EE is an 11.6-inch education-focused Chromebook with an Intel Celeron dual-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 16 GB of eMMC storage. It is built for classroom durability, weighs 2.71 lb and runs Chrome OS, so it depends on the web and Google Play apps rather than installed Windows software. The HD 1280 x 720 panel is modest, and 16 GB of storage is tight once apps and downloads accumulate. It suits light web work, not heavy multitasking.
