Our take on the HZG Gaming PC AMD Ryzen 5 5600 RX 6600 16GB DDR4 1TB NVMe SSD

The HZG M500 is a budget gaming desktop built around AMD's Ryzen 5 5600 six-core CPU and a Radeon RX 6600 8GB graphics card, with 16GB of DDR4-3200 and a 1TB NVMe SSD. It runs Windows 11 Home and adds Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, so it works out of the box without a wired connection. The RX 6600 is a 1080p card, so this is a machine for high-refresh 1080p play rather than 1440p or ray tracing. At $809 at Newegg.com as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Pros
  • Ryzen 5 5600 has six cores and 12 threads, enough for games plus background apps
  • RX 6600 8GB handles most current titles at 1080p on high settings
  • 1TB NVMe SSD is generous at this price and keeps load times short
  • 16GB dual-channel DDR4-3200 with two slots, expandable to 64GB
  • Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 built in, plus Windows 11 Home preinstalled
  • AM4 socket leaves an upgrade path to a Ryzen 5000 chip like the 5700X3D
Cons
  • RX 6600 is weak at 1440p and has limited ray tracing
  • 550W power supply limits headroom for a much bigger GPU later
  • Air cooling only; the stock-style CPU cooler can get loud under load
  • No monitor, keyboard or mouse included
  • HZG is a small builder, so warranty support and BIOS updates are less proven than from major brands

Questions and answers

Is this PC worth $809?
For a prebuilt with a Ryzen 5 5600, RX 6600, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, $809 at Newegg.com as of November 4, 2026 is a fair but not standout price. Building the same parts yourself usually lands somewhat lower, so you are paying for assembly, Windows and warranty.
Can it run modern games at 1080p?
Yes. The RX 6600 runs most current titles at 1080p on high settings at 60 fps or more, and lighter esports games well past 100 fps. Expect to drop settings or use upscaling for demanding ray-traced titles.
Can I upgrade the CPU or GPU later?
The AM4 socket supports Ryzen 5000 chips, so a 5700X3D or 5800X is a drop-in upgrade. The 550W power supply limits GPU upgrades to modest cards; a big jump would need a new PSU.
How much RAM can it take?
It ships with 16GB of DDR4-3200 in two slots and supports up to 64GB. Check whether both slots are already filled before buying a kit.
What comes in the box?
The desktop itself with Windows 11 Home installed. No monitor, keyboard or mouse is listed, so budget for those if you do not have them.
Is it good for streaming or video editing?
It handles light streaming and 1080p editing fine thanks to the six-core CPU and 16GB of RAM. Heavy multitasking or 4K editing would benefit from more RAM and a stronger GPU.
Where is the HZG Gaming PC AMD Ryzen 5 5600 RX 6600 16GB DDR4 1TB NVMe SSD cheapest?
At Newegg.com, for $809.00, as of our latest check.
