Questions and answers

Is the Ibanez GRX20Z worth it for a beginner?
Yes, if you want a full-size electric at a low price. Budget for a professional setup, which makes a bigger difference than the guitar's specs.
How does it compare to the Ibanez GRX40?
The GRX40 adds a humbucker in the bridge and a slightly different pickup layout. The GRX20Z is the cheaper, more basic option.
Does it have a tremolo?
Yes, it has a standard tremolo bridge. Light use is fine, but heavy dive-bombing will pull it out of tune.
What is the scale length and nut width?
It has a 25.5-inch scale and a 42 mm nut, which is comfortable for most hands, including smaller ones.
What's in the box?
You get the guitar itself. A cable, strap, tuner and amp are usually sold separately, so check the listing.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price was $166.05 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Compare the three stores listing it new before buying.
