Is the SYRLIG ring worth it?

At $10.00 for 10 at ModeSens as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap no-sew option if your rod is 38 mm or thinner. Metal rings last longer but cost more and usually need curtain tape.

What rod diameter does it fit?

The ring is 38 mm, so it suits rods up to about 38 mm in diameter. Measure your rod before buying; thicker rods will not pass through.

How many rings do I need for my window?

A common rule is one ring every 8 to 10 cm of curtain width, so a 2 m curtain panel takes roughly 20 to 25 rings, or two to three packs. Wider or heavier curtains need more.

Can I use it with any curtain?

It works best with pleated curtains or fabrics with a firm header, since the clip grips the fabric directly. Very thin or slippery fabrics may slip out of the clip.

Does it come in other colors?

Yes, it is sold in black and white. Match the ring to your rod if you want it to blend in.

Our take on the IKEA SYRLIG Curtain Ring with Clip and Hook

The SYRLIG is IKEA's clip-on curtain ring: an ABS plastic ring with a nickel-plated hook and a polyethylene lining that lets curtains slide quietly along the rod. The clip means you can hang pleated or tabless curtains without sewing on rings. It fits rods up to 38 mm in diameter and comes in packs of 10 in black or white. The best new price is $10.00 at ModeSens as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.
