Our take on the Joystone RC Drone with 4K Camera

The Joystone RC Drone with 4K Camera is a foldable mini quadcopter aimed at beginners, sold with a storage case and two batteries. It uses brushless motors, 2.4 GHz RC control with Wi-Fi FPV to a phone, and claims 30+ minutes of flight per battery with a 60-minute charge. It also lists intelligent obstacle avoidance and colorful LED lights. At $39.96 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the only price seen so far, so there is no cheaper history to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Joystone drone worth buying?
At $39.96 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is a low-risk way to try flying. Do not expect real 4K video or GPS safety features at that price.
Does it have GPS and return-to-home?
No. It lists no GPS, so it will not hold position or fly itself back if signal drops. Keep it in sight and within range.
How long can it actually fly?
Joystone claims 30+ minutes per battery, which is optimistic for a drone this size. Two batteries are included, and each takes about 60 minutes to charge.
Can I use my phone to see the camera feed?
Yes. It connects over Wi-Fi for FPV viewing on a phone, with 2.4 GHz radio for the controller. Expect some lag in the video feed.
Is it good for kids?
It is marketed for kids and adults and is beginner-friendly, but it is not a toy-grade drone. An adult should supervise, and it should be flown outdoors away from people.
What comes in the box?
The drone, an RC controller, a storage case and two modular batteries. Check the listing for whether a charger and spare props are included.
Where is the Joystone RC Drone with 4K Camera cheapest?
At Walmart, for $39.96, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Joystone RC Drone with 4K Camera?
Rated 3 out of 5 from 14 ratings.
