Our take on the Ktaxon 32in Wood Burning Fire Pit with Storage

The Ktaxon 32-inch wood burning fire pit is a square steel pit with a bronze finish and a built-in storage shelf or compartment under the bowl. It is a budget backyard pit meant for burning real firewood, not gas. At $119.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price tracked, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Best forBudget backyard fire pit buyersPatios and small yards where a square 32-inch footprint fitsPeople who want a place to stash firewood or tools under the pitCasual wood-burning, not permanent built-in setups
Pros
  • Square 32-inch top gives a wide, stable fire area
  • Storage under the bowl keeps wood and tools off the ground
  • Bronze finish hides ash and weathers less obviously than black paint
  • Wood fuel is cheap and needs no tank or line
  • Simple assembly and no gas plumbing
Cons
  • Steel bowl will rust if left out uncovered
  • Wood fires need dry fuel, tending and ash cleanup
  • No spark screen or cover unless included in the box
  • Bronze paint can fade or flake with heat over time
  • Not for use on wooden decks without a heat shield

Questions and answers

Is the Ktaxon 32-inch fire pit worth it?
At $119.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is a fair price for a 32-inch steel pit with storage. It suits occasional backyard fires; expect to cover it and repaint eventually.
Does it come with a spark screen or cover?
Listings for this model vary, so check the box contents before buying. Budget pits like this often ship with a poker and screen but no rain cover.
Can I use it on a wood deck?
Only with a heat-resistant pad or legs that keep the bowl well off the surface, and never under an overhang. Check local rules and keep clearance from railings.
How big is it and how much wood does it hold?
The top is 32 inches square, so it takes standard split logs and holds enough for a small group. It is a mid-size pit, not a large community fire ring.
Is it better than a gas fire pit?
Wood is cheaper to run and gives real flame and smoke, but needs fuel, tending and ash cleanup. Gas costs more upfront and needs a tank or line but lights instantly.
When is it cheapest?
Fire pits usually drop in late summer and around Black Friday. Track the price history here and buy when it falls below the current $119.99.
Where is the Ktaxon 32in Wood Burning Fire Pit with Storage cheapest?
At Walmart, for $119.99, as of our latest check.
