Is the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook good for schoolwork?

Yes for web-based work: Google Docs, video calls and browsing run fine. Heavy multitasking will strain the 4GB of RAM, and Windows-only software won't run on ChromeOS.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

No. The 4GB of LPDDR4x memory is soldered, and the 128GB eMMC is not a standard replaceable drive. Buy for the specs you need on day one.

How long does the battery last?

Lenovo rates it at up to 18 hours. Real-world use with the screen at higher brightness will be shorter, but the 47Wh battery should cover a full school or work day.

Does it have a touchscreen?

Yes, the 14-inch 1920x1080 display is a touchscreen. It is a TN panel at 250 nits, so it looks dimmer and less colorful than IPS screens.

The laptop and a 45W USB-C power adapter. It charges over USB-C, so a phone or tablet USB-C charger can also top it up.

Is $200 a good price?

At $200 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is the lowest of the four stores listing it new. That is a fair price for a 14-inch touchscreen Chromebook with 4GB of RAM.
