Our take on the Mackie SRM450v3 Powered Speaker (2-Pack)

The SRM450v3 is Mackie's 12-inch, 1,000-watt powered loudspeaker, a third-generation update of the SRM450 that has been a DJ and small-venue staple for years. It pairs a 12-inch woofer with a 1.4-inch titanium compression driver and runs through Mackie's SRM mixing section, so you can plug a mic and a line source straight in without a separate mixer. The latest best price is $599.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, for a two-pack, which is well below what a single SRM450v3 typically costs new.

Best forMobile DJs who need loud, simple mainsSmall clubs, bars and party roomsSolo performers and MCs running mic plus musicBuyers who want a pair without a separate mixer
Pros
  • 1,000 W peak output is loud for its size
  • Built-in mixer with mic and line inputs cuts gear
  • 12-inch woofer gives solid low-end for DJ sets
  • Lightweight molded cabinet with pole mount and handles
  • Two-pack at $599.99 is a strong per-speaker price
Cons
  • RCA connectivity listed is limited for pro setups; XLR/TRS is what most DJs want
  • 1,000 W is peak, not RMS, so real continuous power is lower
  • No onboard DSP presets or app control like newer rivals
  • Two speakers are heavy to move as a pair
  • Fan noise and hiss reported by some owners at low volume

Questions and answers

Is the two-pack worth it at $599.99?
At $599.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, you are paying about $300 per speaker, which is low for a 12-inch 1,000-watt powered box. If you need two mains for DJ or party use, it is a good value.
How does the SRM450v3 compare with the SRM450v2?
The v3 keeps the same 12-inch, 1,000-watt formula but updates the cabinet, handles and mixing section. Sound is similar; the v3 is easier to carry and set up.
Can I connect a DJ controller or mixer?
Yes. The SRM450v3 has mic and line inputs, so a controller or mixer with balanced or unbalanced outputs will work. Check your cable types, since the listing notes RCA connectivity.
Do I need a subwoofer with these?
For DJ music and parties, a subwoofer helps below roughly 50 Hz. For vocals, speeches and acoustic sets, the 12-inch woofer is enough on its own.
How much power do they actually deliver?
The 1,000 W figure is peak. Continuous output is lower, but the SRM450v3 still fills a medium room or outdoor party for a few hundred people.
When is the price lowest?
Powered speaker prices tend to dip around Black Friday and during pro-audio sales. Watch the price history rather than buying on impulse.

At Walmart, for $599.99, as of our latest check.
