Our take on the Marnur Faux Fur Heated Throw Blanket, 50x60, Tie-Dye Off-White

The Marnur Faux Fur Heated Throw is a 50x60-inch corded electric blanket with a tie-dye off-white faux fur face and a 300 gsm cotton-blend backing. It has six heat settings and a 9.2-foot cord, and the throw is machine washable. It is a mid-priced heated throw aimed at sofa and bed use rather than full-bed coverage.

Pros
  • Six heat settings give finer control than on/off blankets
  • 9.2-foot cord reaches most outlets from a couch or bed
  • Machine washable, which many heated throws are not
  • 300 gsm fabric feels substantial for the price
  • 50x60 size covers one person comfortably
Cons
  • Corded electric, so it is tethered to an outlet
  • No auto-off timer listed, so you must switch it off yourself
  • Faux fur can shed and mat with washing
  • Not large enough for two people or a queen bed

Questions and answers

Is the Marnur heated throw worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want a soft, washable heated throw for one person at a modest price. If you need a timer or full-bed coverage, look at larger blankets with auto shut-off.
Does it have an auto shut-off timer?
No timer is listed among the specs. Plan to unplug it or switch it off when you leave the room or fall asleep.
Can I machine wash it?
Yes, it is machine washable. Detach the cord and controller first, and follow the care label, since faux fur can shed and clump.
How big is the blanket?
It measures 50 by 60 inches, enough for one adult on a sofa or across a bed. It is not sized for two people.
How many heat settings does it have?
Six. That gives more control than basic on/off throws, though some owners report uneven warmth across the surface.
When is it cheapest?
Heated blankets usually drop in price during fall and winter sales and around Black Friday. Check the price history before buying.
