Is the Martha Stewart Faretta set worth buying?

At $39.97 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to get 12 ceramic pieces for four people. Buy it if you want an affordable everyday set in black; skip it if you need mugs or more than four settings.

Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes. Martha Stewart lists the set as both dishwasher safe and microwave safe, so plates and bowls can go straight from the microwave to the dishwasher.

What is included in the 12 pieces?

Four dinner plates, four dessert plates and four bowls. The dessert plates are 8.25 inches across; the bowls have tall, raised edges.

How does it compare with white stoneware sets?

This is fine ceramic, which is lighter and smoother than most stoneware. The black glaze hides stains less well than white, but it looks more formal on the table.

When is the best time to buy it?

Dinnerware sets usually drop around Black Friday, holiday sales and wedding-season promotions. The current $39.97 at Walmart is already low for a 12-piece ceramic set, so waiting may not save much.
