Our take on the Mercer41 Ribbed Corduroy Platform Bed with Wingback Headboard and Wooden Slats

A queen platform bed from Mercer41 with a ribbed corduroy upholstered frame, a wingback headboard and wooden slats over a metal frame. The tall wingback headboard and soft corduroy give it a hotel-lounge look, and the slats mean no box spring is needed. It is a style-led pick rather than a heavy-duty frame, so check the weight limits before you buy.

Questions and answers

Do I need a box spring with this bed?
No. The bed ships with wooden slats, so a mattress sits directly on them. Use a mattress that works with slatted bases.
Is the frame sturdy enough for daily use?
It has a metal frame with wooden slats, which suits normal adult use. Check the listed weight capacity before buying if you need extra support.
How hard is assembly?
Expect a couple of hours and a second person, mainly because of the wingback headboard. All hardware is included.
How do I clean the corduroy?
Vacuum it with an upholstery brush and spot clean with a mild fabric cleaner. Avoid soaking the fabric.
Does it come in other sizes?
This listing is for the queen size. Check the Mercer41 line for other sizes if you need a full or king.
